How DragonTiger.gg Verifies What It Publishes

Dragon Tiger is two cards, one to each side, and the higher card wins. A game that simple can be worked out completely, so on this site the odds are counted rather than quoted, and everything else is traced to the regulator, studio or casino that published it. Where we cannot do either, we say so.

How We Work Out the Odds

An eight-deck shoe holds 416 cards, so a fresh shoe can deal 416 × 415 = 172,640 ordered pairs of cards. We count them. In 12,896 of them the two cards share a rank, which makes the chance of a tie exactly 31/415, or 7.4699%; in 2,912 they are the same rank and suit, so a Suited Tie is 7/415, or 1.6867%. Every probability, house edge and expected loss on our Odds & Payouts page comes from counts like these, for each deck count and each rule a studio uses: half the stake lost on a tie or all of it, the Tie at 8, 10 or 11 to 1, and the one-card side bets. None of it is copied from another site.

The tools are held to the same counts. The calculator computes its figures exactly for the rules you choose. The simulator, its betting system tester and the predictor tool deal real shoes, and each has a check script that runs millions of simulated rounds and compares the results with the exact figures before a change to that tool goes live.

Then we compare our numbers with the best-known independent analysis. Wizard of Odds publishes one Dragon Tiger page; we set 43 Dragon Tiger figures from it beside ours on our Wizard of Odds comparison, and every one agrees. That comparison also caught an error of ours: our Odds page printed the Suited Tie chance as 1.6868% where the exact figure, 7/415, rounds to 1.6867%. We corrected it on October 13, 2026.

Where the Other Facts Come From

• Rules and payouts of a studio's game: the studio's own game help or product page (Evolution, Pragmatic Play, Ezugi, SA Gaming and others), and the date we read it.
• Where the game is legal and who approved it: the regulator's own documents, such as Singapore's Gambling Regulatory Authority, Macau's DICJ, the Philippines' PAGCOR and the UAE's GCGRA.
• Anything we say about a casino: that casino's own lobby, terms and promotion pages. A casino is listed only if its own lobby shows a Dragon Tiger table when we check.
• Operator results: company reports and filings, not summaries of them.

Trade press can point us to a primary source, but it is not one. Other review and affiliate sites are never a source for any figure here, however often a number is repeated.

What We Leave Out

The rule costs us things other pages print. We do not say where or when Dragon Tiger was invented: the Cambodia story traces back to a 2012 remark that the game was “rumored” to be found there, and our history page dates only what a regulator, studio or named author recorded. We give no house edge for Lightning Dragon Tiger, because Evolution does not publish the multiplier table needed to compute one. Where a studio does not say whether a tie costs half the stake or all of it, we show both. If a casino does not publish a figure, the page says “not published”. If a claim rests on someone else's reporting, the text says whose. Every news article ends with its Sources and an Editor's note on what could not be confirmed.

Affiliate Links and Promotion-Free Pages

DragonTiger.gg earns a commission when a reader joins a casino through one of our links. Those links are labeled “Partner Link” and carry rel="sponsored". A casino's card is written from its own pages before any link is added, and a commission does not buy a listing. One listing, Play971 in the UAE, earns us nothing: it is there because it is the country's first licensed online casino and deals Dragon Tiger, and its card says the listing is unpaid.

Four pages carry no casino listings or sponsored links at all: the Probability Calculator, the Simulator, the Predictor Tool and the Wizard of Odds comparison. They are there to show the arithmetic, not to sell anything.
